For this one, anytime there’s a three involved, you take a drink. This includes three pointers, field goals, and hitting triples.
For basketball, take a drink every time someone drains a three. This can go for the team you’re rooting for or you can play both teams. If you’ve been paying attention to recent basketball, you know three pointers are a huge part of the game now. The Rockets scored 26 three pointers in their game against the Wizards back in 2018 on Dec. 19. They broke the record of most scored three pointers in a game and with the Wizards there was a total of 36 three pointers made. That’s a lot of sips.
So, for field goals and hitting triples, because these are more rare, finish your drink.
“Ankle Breaker” or “Posterizer”
These games can go hand-in-hand. It is the middle of basketball season and ankle breakers and posterizing dunks are the most embarrassing plays to be a part of if you’re the defender. Finish your drink whenever someone gets crossed or posterized. Look at our Chicago menu or New York menu to see what you can get for your next drink.
“Strikeout”
We still got a few months till baseball season starts back up again, but this is an extremely easy one. As you probably guessed, take a drink every time a batter strikes out. To make it more interesting, you have to finish your drink if it's a backwards K (strikeout looking and not swinging at the pitch).
“Omaha”
This one is best played with people you trust and aren’t sick. This one also isn’t meant for germaphobes either. During a football game, every time the quarterback calls an audible, you pass your drink to your left. If you’re not comfortable with this idea, then you could play by changing the way you consume your drink. For example, you can use a straw to drink your beer or not use a straw for a cocktail.
“The Save”
Soccer is a world sport and therefore will always be televised. For this game, every time the goalie makes a save, everybody has to put their hand over their drink. The last one to do so has to drink.
“TMI”
Take a drink every time an announcer tells a story about a player or themselves that has nothing to do with the sport. Or you could chug your beer for the length of the story. You could take this to bringing up a player that has retired as well.
“Highlight Reel”
Like most of these, this one is easy. Every time they show a replay of a highlight reel, you drink. It should be clarified that this just doesn’t mean every replay they show. It is just for highlight plays. All of these games can be tweaked and combined. It’s all up to you! These are obviously meant to spice up watching sports. All these are best played at sports too! Book your next party at Bounce Sports Club at our Chicago location or our New York location and try out these drinking games!
