In the NBA, All-Star Weekend is one of the biggest events of the season next to the finals. For those who don’t know, All-Star Weekend showcases all the best players in the NBA. It starts on a Friday with the Rising Stars Challenge. This is the game where all rookie and sophomore players play against each other. Saturday is the day for different types of skills. This is the day for the three-point contest, the dunk contest, and the skills challenge. The weekend wraps up with the All-Star Game. This game is known for its lack of defense and ridiculous plays. This year’s All-Star Weekend is taking place from Feb. 14-16. There’s many ways to watch this exciting weekend of basketball, but a sports bar in Chicago, specifically Bounce Sports Club’s location, is the best way to do it and here’s why.
All-Star Weekend is in Chicago This Year
Where’s a better place to watch the All-Star festivities than the city of where it’s at? Celebrities from around the world come to witness the weekend. Consistent appearances include Beyoncé and Jay-Z, Rihanna, Kevin Hart, Jack Nicholson, Leonardo Dicaprio, and Drake. This doesn’t even include the players! The teams haven’t been decided yet, but it’s almost guaranteed you will see big names like Lebron James, James Harden, and Giannis Antetokounmpo! Chicago’s own Chance the Rapper will be performing as well.
Chicago is the 3rd biggest city in America and is rich with culture and diversity. This would be a good excuse to take a trip to Chicago or have a weekend planned for these festivities if you’re already there.
Finally, our location in Chicago has all that you’d need to watch any of the events. We have drinks, food, plenty of seating, and plenty of screens to watch the game on. Check out our event page or our reservation page to make sure you and your colleagues get a spot.
One of the coolest things about watching a game at a sports bar is that most people are there to watch the big game (or event) as well. People are hootin’-n-hollerin’ and this will be no different for All-Star Weekend. There’s something about cheering and getting ecstatic about a highlight play with complete strangers that brings together a sense of community. It sounds cheesy, but it’s a unique feeling. That’s why they created sports bars in the first place, right? Every day of the weekend is going to bring an electric vibe to any sports bar, especially Bounce Sporting Club.
Hosting an event like this at home takes a lot of work. When going to the sports bar, everything is already provided and served to you. During all the festivities, you can be louder than at home. Everybody in Chicago knows that living spaces can be a little compact, but at a sports bar, everybody is there to have a good time. Plus, we all know cable is slowly fading away and it’s hard to find a stream for the events. At Bounce Sports Club, you don’t have to worry about that. At our Chicago location, we have plenty of seating, plenty of screens to watch, plenty of delicious food options, and a diverse selection of drinks. Take a look at our Chicago menu here. We have our vegan Beyond Burger that would pair well with one of our draft beers. We’re right in the Heart of Chicago and so there’s plenty to do before, during, and after watching the events of All-Star Weekend at Bounce Sports Club.
The After Party
Most events on All-Star Weekend start around 6 p.m. which leaves you plenty of time to celebrate and party afterwards! Sports bars are usually open into the a.m. hours so you’ll have plenty of time to snack and drink. Our Chicago location doesn’t close until 4 a.m. on the weekends so have some dinner during the game and some drinks after! The music will be bumping and the energy from the event will only be sustained.
All-Star Weekend is only 4 weeks away, so get your squad together and reserve a spot at our Chicago location today! Enjoy the festivities, atmosphere, less hassle, and the after-after party at Bounce Sports Club!
